Look very closely at this photo. Do you see a second grade boy on one side of the fence and a bunch of girls on the other? This was the 411 after school last Friday:
Our sweet neighbor girl is in the same class as my son and she had been talking all week about her birthday party on Friday night. Some girls from class were going to come over to play and do "pranks" in the neighborhood before spending the night.
My son was prepared, running to the backyard as soon as he got home from school. He did the swings for a little bit, trying to act like he didn't notice the high pitch screams coming from the opposite side of the fence; and then he just couldn't take it any longer. He had to know what all those girls could possibly be screaming about!!
As soon as my son came in for dinner ... the doorbell started ringing. Of course, our porch was empty. With a roll of the eyes, my son said, "Those girls are starting their pranks!" It only lasted a couple of tries, and then they were off into their girl land.
What will the teen years be like?!
