Two Days Worth of Pictures

We spent the day at my parents yesterday enjoying some early Christmas festivities with my brother and his family. There is nothing better than seeing the cousins play and truly get giddy about being together. That goes for both sides of the family ~ they are true friends who enjoy each others unique personalities. We are very glad that our children get along so well with their cousins and have each other to grow up with sharing memories together.

The snow fell for twelve hours yesterday, you can imagine the depths accumulated. It was a bitter cold, fluffy, and purely white country drive in the dark, arriving home close to midnight. With the only cars on the street being my brothers and ours, it was very beautiful and calm.

Today, more snow fell and continues to fall with predictions of more throughout the night and tomorrow. We feel like we have been transplanted to Alaska.

Here are some pictures of our last 24 hours. What festive fun to be surrounded in white leading up to Christmas; a view we rarely see.

Splash ~ my parents' Portuguese Water Dog, 6.5 months old with a very! very! adorable! personality!Family ~ getting together for Christmas Cheer at my parents house (dressing up playtime, holiday BBQ, boy captured by girls).

My parents and their house ~ Thank you for everything yesterday!!! xo

Sledding ~ on our golf course hill today (noticed after the fact that my daughter stands in 4th Position Ballet in snow boots!).

Cozy ~ our house this evening. Gusts of wind have been blowing the snow; bushes can be seen in some parts, but not others. Snow arrived under our covered porch.

Wow! Look at all that snow! I still haven't figured out where you guys live... can't be too far south, thats for sure! We went from 80 degree weather to 19 degrees in one day. 13hours of driving, one hour to go, too tired to finish tonight:( Those girls have such cute outfits on, are they really that stylish, or were they dressing up for fun?

The girls are really that stylish ~ just their fashion "attitudes" are for fun. I guess you are taking all those gifts (some were huge) that were under your tree in your last photo? Your car must be very full. Drive Carefully and stay warm!!!

Wow - you were adventurous to head out until midnight last night. I went out during the early part of the day to shop and prepare for the storm and then we honkered down and prayed we didn't lose electricity - which we didn't. The whole house creaked from the strong winds all night and we were snowed in all day today!

I love all the pics you always include. It is funny to see your daughter standing in 4th position in the snow boots. You should show that photo to her dance teacher!

Sorry I didn't call back. Even though we have been snowed in, it has been quite busy. I'll try you tomorrow!

Wow, you did get lots of snow. We had quite a bit here too, and the blowing wind made huge drifts. Splash is so cute, I never heard of a water dog.
Love your house with the lights and snow. Doesn't all this snow seem fun being that Christmas is just a few days away. I'm sure we wont love it so much in Feb.
