Boughs and Bows and all that Jazz

Not every dance class is open to an audience, but last night was a scheduled watch day for my daughter's jazz class. Equipped with camera, my husband got some shots. I just love to watch her and her classmates dance. I do not think there is one slacker in the group. They all try so hard and have so much fun. I credit the positive atmosphere to her passionate teacher.
As soon as class was over, we whisked ourselves over to our church to catch the last 40 minutes of Boughs and Bows. An annual holiday event to support the Children's Ministries, a donation will purchase you all the fixings to create your own wreath or swag.

Tarps lined the gymnasium floor, tables upon tables were set ready for creation, and a huge, enormous pile of real tree boughs lined one side of the gym floor. Pine cones and bows from a variety of ribbons were laying on tables to choose from. A crew of cheerful teenagers were there to help carry, cut, sort, clean up; whatever you may need to help your creation turn out just the way you wish.

The smell of the fresh greenery, hot apple cider, and plates of cookies and popcorn swirled together to fill the air with the yumminess of the season. While we squeezed it in this year and had to hurry a tad, it was still nice to make a wreath for our front door.

Just one more holiday tradition we just didn't want to miss.

We too enjoyed dance very much! What a blessing it is to be able to provide these classes to our daughters. It is obvious they learn so much from their teachers in such a positive, fun, and caring atmosphere! Although we had similar experiences at dance, we had drastically different experiences afterwards. While you all whisked yourselves to a fun event, we whisked ourselves home as fast as possible and straight to bed!
