However, we are in a "Ground Hog Day" moment because he woke up today, with a high fever, by lunchtime he was better (good job ... ), etc. etc. I hear that the fever/cold thing that is going around our children's school hangs on with up and down fevers, and takes days to fully shake.
His best pal is hanging tight with him. They are very cute together. She will snuggle on top of him to get him to giggle. And then she will s-l-o-w-l-y move over so he can at least breathe easier. And I really mean just over, not off. It is mutual that they both love the attention they give each other.
No school, no problem!!

Thanks for introducing yourself on my blog! Now I look forward to reading yours :-) That picture is so, so cute. Our cats do the same... The *love* it when someone is home sick. My mom's dog who just died was the queen of cuddling with you during illnesses... Is he feeling any better?
On another subject, what are your feelings about getting a weighted keyboard (Yamaha)for a beginning piano student vs. a piano? We still haven't taken the plunge. My husband just couldn't stand the sound of the cheaper pianos, so we're looking at quite an expensive purchase if we go with the piano--and our apartment simply has no-more-space-at-all. If need be, however, I'll get rid of a lot of books and some bookshelves.
I completely agree; start with a weighted keyboard and then when the girls are fully engrossed and can't live without playing; invest in a good piano. It is an expensive instrument that takes up a good deal of floor space to purchase first, and then find out there is no interest.
Over half of my students have keyboards and they are doing just fine. One just bought their first piano ~ which is exciting for me because it means that the parent and student are excited with his progress and interest.
