-steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

Remembering today as a day of growth for a certain someone in my life. Remembering this day that not everything is handed out first, or second, or even third. That sometimes in life one must wait, and it is the process of waiting, that one finds how much he or she wants the thing that they have been longing for for years.

Choices. Will this person continue to chart the course with diligence? Will this person be broken by the timeline that they did not predict? Will this person stand proud of who they are and how far they have come, regardless of how others judge?

Perseverance. Finding that inner fight to keep persisting that they are worthy, able, and confident to make it count. Through the emotions of highs and lows through the fight, he or she will come out on the other side so proud that they earned every inch of their prize ... and nobody can say differently.
