Music Night

What an enjoyable night!!! We got the pleasure of dinning as a family with wonderful friends while being entertained by an amazing group of Middle School musicians. We have been looking forward to this night for a few weeks; we were so happy the evening finally came!
We met this cute girl in the white hat years ago at the dance studio. The first year the two girls had class together, we were just starting to get acquainted. I remember seeing the mom in the lobby while we waited for our girls to exit the classroom; we kind of small talked, but for the most part kept to ourselves or with our own acquaintances.

The following year - from the first class - we just started talking, and the girls started talking - and we haven't stopped talking!!! We've gotten to know one another more personal outside of dance; taking time to hang out and learn more about who we are. Our families have gotten together; we've shared vacation photos and stories, and laughed and laughed. Truly a great family to call friends.
Tonight their daughter played a piano solo at this amazing "club" type restaurant. It was the same location where we celebrated our Anniversary this year. The restaurant's gig is hosting musicians (mostly jazz) seven nights of the week. Imagine - music while dinning every night. The best place ever.

And - it is just twenty minutes from our house in a sleepy mountain town.

Our friend performed wonderfully tonight. Her musicality is expressive and her counting is accurate. She commanded the attention of the audience with her confident smile and attitude. It was a pleasure supporting her night of talent with her fellow school peers.

The food. So amazing. The blue cheese dressing on the salad is a perfect combo of sweet and tart. Mmmm, never tasted a better dressing. And don't even get me started on the Calamari, or this might turn into a food blog.

My kids were singing all the way home; inspired by their night of performers. I consider that a huge compliment and thumbs up to the evening of entertainment.

Thank you, Friends, for truly a wonderful night of being together and celebrating your musician and her wonderful school. Fabulous.
