I remember the Harlem Globetrotters when they would come to my elementary school to show their tricks and to give their motivational speeches. I wish my children had neat assemblies like we used to; and I've noticed they do not have as many field trips either.
So, when we heard that the Globetrotters were coming to town, we took our children to see them. The kids had so much fun! My son was so inspired that he came home and went straight up to the dance floor with his new souvenir basketball to try out some tricks. We let him stay up late to finish his routine ~ it is so fun to see the kids get excited and inspired; sometimes it takes so little.
He's been all basketball today too. Hoping his new love will last a good while.
